Trumpet Call for the UK by national prophets
(See attached prayer letter for printing
out)
“If you have any encouragement from being united
with
Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the
Spirit, if any tenderness, and compassion, then make my joy complete,
by being like minded, having the same love being one in spirit and in
purpose each of you should look not only to your own interests but also
to the interests of others” Phil
2: 1-4
PRAYER EVENTS
TO ATTEND:
Following the first Trumpet Call day in October 2004, the
World Prayer Centre has organized the above. We believe God
is calling us to call forth His praying, worshipping army that as we
pray and declare His Truths across the lands, He will continue to lift
the oppression over individuals, families, churches, communities and
nations so that the glory of Christ can be seen in the land. . ‘But everything
exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes
everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise
from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Be very careful, then,
how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every
opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish,
but understand what the Lord's will is.’ Eph 5:13-17
This is a time
for intimacy with the Lord so that we know His plans; compassion for
people so that we express His heart; and vengeance on His enemies so
that we execute His judgements. It
is a course that will require unity of heart and purpose, persevering
prayer and prophetic obedience.

happy and helpful members on their school and community”
“Aspirations, Attainment, Achievement for all”
This term we are hoping to launch a new
initiative, we
are calling all local churches to come together in prayer for Portway Community School. The School is situated in the heart of
Shirehampton
reaching pupils from Lawrence Weston, Seamills, Avonmouth, and Stoke
Bishop. Let us devote ourselves to prayer for this coming generation.

Youth
Please
pray for all the work going on in the Schools in our City,
through various forms of outreach. Pray that more schools will be open
to Christian teaching and influence, and that there will be lots more
workers to take all the opportunities there are. Kids can have
everything that money can buy, but if they are deprived of Bible
teaching and loving guidance, what future can they be sure of in this
insecure world?
Summer Camps are being planned now, and this
is where much lasting work is done amidst fun and friendships. Please
pray for the leaders who are planning the activities, and the speakers
who will be planning the talks, and for all the young people who will
be going.
Hill
House, near Bridgwater has 5 weeks of camps, with about 80 kids in
each, during July and August. They would value all your prayers, as
would all the camps taking place which are known to you.
The Council
Clare
Cook, from Henbury, in our last Pray for Bristol, held at St. Mary’s
Henbury, asked us to pray for several things for the council;
The
changes in administration.
Since
the Election, we now have a Liberal Democrat Council instead of Labour.
So
there will be an unsettled time for a while the new administration
settles down. Pray
for a quick resolving of direction and differences.
Social Services
There
has been a £7million overspend which has to be addressed, while
protecting the most vulnerable.
Every Child Matters
A
new government directive, whereby all services must be brought together
by 2008, so no child will slip through the net again.
Education
There
has been a new Director of Education appointed- please pray for her.

Outreach at
the Colston Hall – More to Life than this:
The "more?"
event on Saturday
June 18th. Featuring a programme of music,
video, story and speaking, the event is an ideal opportunity for
Christians to bring along friends who are interested in finding out
more about the Christian faith. Music will be provided by "Jesus Kingdom City" the South West's finest black gospel choir, and our
special guest artist for the evening will be Sue Rinaldi. The
message will be presented by Philip Jinadu, on
the theme of 'more to life than this'. Pray for a sensitve
presentation of the gospel which will draw the unchurched to Christ and
not put them off and also that it is the right length.
Love Bristol Festival 2006 – 26th
to 30th July 2006 – this is a proposal to hold a "Soul in the City" style event in South Bristol in July 2006. This would
involve people being active in south Bristol communities serving them
by doing all kinds of practical tasks like clearing public spaces,
painting children’s play areas, gardening, football and sports
activities for local children, local conservation projects, kid’s clubs
and much more. It the past these kind of local projects (called "The
Noise") have happened in Barton Hill/Lawrence Hill,
Hartcliffe/Withywood and Lockleaze/Horfield. For each of these there
have been a couple of hundred young people taking part, over 40 tonnes
of rubbish was removed and community felt the impact of Christians
serving together.
For the Summer of 2006 we are hoping to get
about 1,000 Christians to sign up to come to South Bristol for five days and work alongside the local churches and
communities. They could camp on Hengrove Park where we could also hold a "Party in the Park" style
event on the last weekend in July.
For this proposal to work we need to be in
discussion with all the church leaders in South Bristol to see if you felt this would serve you as you care for
your communities. We want you to be able to help shape the agenda of
the local projects (if your church had 50 young volunteers seconded for
five days, what sort of things would you like them to do?) and to
discuss how in the longer term Christians for other parts of the city
could be helping and supporting you. Tel 0117 916 6658 or email tim@mullers.org for more info.
Grandma’s – Bristol
This
is the service for children affected by HIV/AIDS.
They
have been encouraged by their vision of expansion in the service
beginning to be realised, built on a foundation of prayer. They would
like to see a network of prayer throughout the whole region, so that as
cases are referred, the right volunteers will be there ready to help
them. By visiting a family the volunteer can, with God’s help, bring a
ray of light into the family, and give them friendship and hope. If you
would like to know more about the work of “Grandmas” give Sarah a call

New Church at
Lockleaze a light on the
hill.
St
James Church Lockleaze is
being officially opened after much hard work and prayer. Pray for Ebenezer Church ,
as they encourage and launch it, and for Dave and Nikki Jeal, and Zoe
Williams as they head up the team ministry. Special prayer for all the
local folks that they will be warmed and guided by the “Light on the
Hill”
Bible Society
Campaign
Thank
God for all the events which have already taken place.Pray that many
people may have started to be challenged and start to think about
eternal issues which will lead them to “repent and believe the Good
News”, as Jesus said as he went around Galilee.
PROPHETIC
INTERCESSION – two
national/international prophets Clifford Hill and Sharon Stone have
received a burden and sense of urgency that we are at a turning point
in our nation and as a result are conduct tours of the UK believing we
have a ‘Wake Up Call’ to stand in the gap and intercede to turn our
nation around.
The Function of the Watchman. - The watchman is
to hear the voice of God, declare His divine purposes, and bring a word
of warning to those not aligned with His plans. He functions to bring
preservation, salvation, redemption, and repentance to those who will
heed the warnings.
Sharon
Stone – Contending for the Soul of the Nation – will be at Elim City Church on August 20th
Their
aim is to mobilise prayer across the nation and to set up a website
linking all prayer organisations and networks across the UK.
She and her team are visiting 39 counties and hope to see the following:
·
Prophetic
words released for regional and national strategies
·
Affirmation
of what leaders and watchmen are hearing from God
·
Mobilising
of intercessors
·
Facilitation
of repentance, warfare and actions of obedience
·
The
unlocking of the next phase of destiny for our nation.
‘We
feel a mandate of God to rally believers together at this pivotal time
so that a ‘Distinct Sound’ might be released. 1 Cor. 14:7-8 …there is a
great contending in the spirit realm for the soul of our nation. The
breakthroughs of past years are no longer sufficient. We are now
travailing for a national breakthrough. This is a God appointed time of
spiritual conflict and if we remain passive we will find ourselves in a
very dark hour. God is calling His body to rise up and pray a distinct
sound that is in agreement with Heaven for our country in this urgent
season. God is asking us to expose current tactics and wiles of the
enemy and see Jesus Christ’s Lordship established.’ See more info on: http://www.distinctsound.net/
STATE OF THE
NATION! NATIONAL TOUR 2005- with guest speakers
from transform-uk
Rev'd Dr
Clifford Hill, director of the Centre for Contemporary Ministry at
Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire, is bringing the 'STATE OF THE NATION' NATIONAL
TOUR to over 20 church venues around the UK over the next 9
months. Under the banner Good news for a nation in crisis, the
event brings a message of hope and a challenge for action. Clifford
Hill will be alerting the church going public to the present state of
the nation. He along with guest speakers from transform-uk will
then follow this with a lively presentation on transform-uk - and
urging people to mobilise and support this new movement to change the
nation for the better.
The team are looking for a venue in Bristol which will hold up to
500 people if you can help contact them via the website below.
OBJECTIVES:
To
ensure the common Christian view is
heard on key issues and public policy
- To
provide a bigger platform for strong effective Christian communicators
- To
promote corporate social responsibility and ethical behaviour
- To
contribute to the long-term spiritual renewal of the nation
- To
improve the public perception of Christians by demonstrating that, when
the issues are big enough, all Christians can unite behind a common
banner.

REMOVAL OF CROSSES &
BIBLES from HOSPITALS
& CREMATORIUMS IN THE UK
In both Devon and East London the above has been reported in the Daily
Express newspaper. These have been replaced with Moslem prayer mats.
The Daily Express campaigned to get the bible and cross put back in the
Devon crematorium and were successful. Praise God.
Pray that the hospitals and crematoriums are able to maintain their
Christian heritage and pray for the UK generally and the Daily Express campaign on
this matter.
The Prayer Box Society has now become a limited company by
guarantee, which we praise and thank God for. We are now applying
for charitable status so please pray it goes through smoothly. Jenny
James. The aim is to place prayer boxes in supermarkets via inter
church local groups etc. pray access is given by Bristol’s supermarkets.CONTACT: 0117-9246856
