Withywood Church Centre, Four Acres, Withywood

Please pray for us at Withywood Church. We are a small but dedicated band of people with many longstanding members. We are an ecumenical Church with Methodist and Anglican allegiance. We have exciting plans to build a new church and community centre shortly. Some of our older members are understandably nervous about the changes this will bring. We are joined on a Sunday by a small but increasing number of unaccompanied children. Many of them have special needs and would benefit from one to one attention. This we are unable to provide currently because of a shortage of helpers / teachers with the necessary skills. Inevitably tensions have arisen. We are currently introducing some clear and simple rules to help the children know what they are doing wrong….and to stop before they cause too much disruption! We believe these children are God’s gift to us and that our work with children is an area of growth for us, but we need more help. Ideally we would like to have a rota of 12 people willing to help us once a month with our Sunday school. God’s provision for us has always been wonderfully generous…. so please join us as we pray about these things with great expectation.
